Founded in 1459 A.D. by the Rao Jodha, Jodhpur gradually grew around the towering Mehrangarh Fort build as stronghold on the advice of a sage. Agra

Agra west of the state capital, Lucknow, and 200 kilometres (124 mi) south of the national capital New Delhi. Agra is an old city and it is said that its name is derived from Agrabana; a forest that finds mention in the epic Mahabharata. In more recent times Agra came into prominence when Sikandra Lodi made it his capital city in 1504. Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer, nicknamed “The Golden city”, is a town in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Unlike any other city, this desert fortress is one of Rajasthan’s most exotic and unusual towns. Jaisalmer, an important ancient trading centre because of its strategic location on the camel trade routes. The havelis, built by merchants of the 19th century, are exquisitely carved from golden-yellow sandstone and are still in a beautiful condition.

The golden Jaisalmer Fort, over 800 years old, crowns the Trikuta Hill. Within its walls, defended by 99 turrets, lies the old city. From the city, to view the fort is almost identical to what was seen by merchants on their overland camel caravans to central Asia. The fort stands almost 30 metres over the city and houses an entire living area within huge ramparts.
